Many have been critical of Fox News’ overly favorable coverage of the Donald Trump presidency, noting that the truth is often stretched and exaggerated to make Trump look better than the story would have him look.

So, for Fox News to slam Trump for something, Trump must have done something fairly embarrassing or egregious.

CNN announced that its White House reporter Kaitlan Collins was banned from Donald Trump’s press conference for asking the following question:

Jake Tapper called it “absolutely disgraceful behavior.” Steven Portnoy of CBS News called it a “stunning outrage.” But the most stunning criticism of Trump came from Fox News.

Fox News pool reporter Bret Baier said, “As a member of the White House Press pool – Fox News stands firmly with CNN on this issue and the issue of access.”

Baier then went on-air to say, in part: “This decision to bar a member of the press is retaliatory in nature and not indicative of an open and free press. We demand better.”

This could be the first in several situations that will slowly convince even Fox News that Donald Trump does things that deserve criticism, no matter what political party they are a member of.
