Thursday will mark the one year anniversary of special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into Russia interference in our 2016 presidential election and Donald Trump, who has become increasingly more isolated, is frustrated. It’s a shame the former reality show star doesn’t have the energy that Hillary Clinton had when she went through a 2-1/2 year investigation into the Benghazi attacks. The committee spent more than $7.8 million on that. At one point, Clinton was grilled for 11 hours straight and she didn’t break a sweat. But, our current low-energy so-called president wants what he calls the ‘witch hunt’ to end.

Trump has been complaining regularly to aides that he needs better “TV lawyers” in order to properly defend him in the press, according to an explosive new report in the Washington Post.

Well, I doubt that Matlock will take his case, but former Mayor of NYC Rudy Giuliani has been busy on his media blitz while seemingly unaware that he’s throwing his client under the bus. Giuliani recently resigned from a law firm in order to focus on representing Trump but it looks like he might end up going through the revolving door at the White House instead.

Trump has been ranting to associates about the FBI raids on his longtime personal attorney Michael Cohen, as often as “20 times a day,” a source told the Post.

Still, Giuliani said, “We’ve gone from defense to offense” and we’re not sure how he arrived at that conclusion.

Many Trump aides and associates told the Post that they are confident that Trump will be exonerated from any wrongdoing, but privately they have expressed concerns that the probe may yet ensnare more figures in Trump’s inner circle, specifically Donald Trump Jr., and Jared Kushner, his son-in-law and senior adviser.

Trump had better buckle up because it’s going to be a bumpy ride. The Atlantic‘s Natasha Bertrand wrote a piece on Monday saying that Mueller’s probe is even “more expansive” than any of us knew. As for Giuliani, he’s either suffering from dementia, is incompetent, or he’s a liberal plant.
